Image search and indexing system Picollator

Picollator image search and indexing software is the novel image search and indexing system. It is able to understand image content, index enterprise image databases and search through them.

It is designed to help companies organize their digital photo archives automatically in accordance with visual content found.

Picollator processes images, detects objects, recognizes and classifies them as if it does the alphabet or dictionary. In order to detect images, we use non-linear filters together with the adaptive learning technique, which allows Picollator to distinguish different objects.

The system detects faces on each digital image, updates the index and allocates all the photos with a particular face in a separate folder. Each person in the database obtains his own folder, and all the newly added photos automatically go there.

To provide maximum user comfort and convenience Picollator performs three types of image search:

• standard search by image properties (creation date, camera used, size etc);
• Recogmission unique search by submitting a snapshot photo;
• complex search both by image samples and metadata.

The system is absolutely stable and adaptive to changing computing resources and network configurations. The architecture is designed as the computing platform and can be integrated into the existing computing environment through the API provided.
